Wow I totally forgot about this blog. I went to start one, logged in to Google...and it turned out I have one already. :D LOL. This is what happens when I go off social media for a while. Now however I'm back and I am on facebook and twitter. On both my handle is alyk1187 and I love having new people on FB so come and friend me. :)
Well hello again. I'm apparently re-starting this blog and I'm super excited. I got on to YouTube recently to look at some cool videos and realised that a lot of the commentary videos are from the UK or US. In case you don't know (probably not because this is only my second post) I'm not from either of those places. I live in Australia and always wish I could find stuff that's relevant to us here because all the prices and available products (even with some of the big international brands) are different. So...I'm going to put up what I find, what I see and what I think in relation to Australia. Hopefully some people will find it useful and maybe others will learn that Australia is not a place where we keep Kangaroos as pets and get eaten by Drop Bears. Seriously how does anyone believe in those???
Ok enough rambling (you'll soon learn I do that a lot) and onto my first (well technically second) post. For now I'll just introduce myself and tell you a little about what I'll be posting about and what I like.
I'm Aly (technically that's a nickname but in the world of the web that's all you're going to get) and I'm from Australia. I love pink and aqua, lattes, margaritas, latin dance music, swimming, photography (I can't do it very well but I do love seeing people's photographs), make-up, and good food. I like baking and I haven't travelled internationally much but I've done a LOT of car driving around and I used to travel within Australia a LOT so I've learned how to pack (Ok kind of). I love little travel gadgets and things to help me organise and I have quite an eclectic taste in music and films. I live on the east coast of Australia (outside of Sydney) and though I'm happy to visit the city I doubt I'll ever live there...partially because you now have to sell your organs to afford the rent there.
I LOVE pink. I have loved Barbie since I was very young and I began a pink obsession which still hasn't stopped when I saw Legally Blonde. Sadly I am not blonde but I still love pink and I once got called "pink lady" at a cafe which made me very happy. :D I have a pink handbag, pink wallet, pink ATM card, pink headphones, pink iPod case, pink iPad case, pink glasses case (though I usually wear contacts), pink headphones, pink day planner, pink...well you get the idea.
Another thing about me is I do not believe in credit cards. I am terrible with money and spend it almost before I get it so I've never had a credit card and never plan to. Visa Debit is the best invention in the WORLD and it allows me to buy things on eBay and online in general without going into debt. Sorry to get so serious so fast but debt is super crazy in the world right now and though I know some people can handle credit cards (a friend of mine is like that I have NO idea how he does it) but most of us can't.
Well before I finish up I just want to grin about some new make-up I got today. I was wandering around Big W after a meeting (UGH!) and found some eye shadow duos and a new nail polish for $2 each! I got purple and grey and beige and pink for the eyeshadows and a pearly-beige-pink for the nailpolish. The brand was Boe for those of you who are in Aus and I love the nail polish. It needs a few more coats but the colour is so pretty and whilst I normally go for Australis or L'Oreal makeup (depending on how much money I have) I really liked this colour and for $2 I was not going to complain. Anyway that will do for now or I'll keep rambling so goodnight and I'll finish by saying...
